Increase Your Approach Angle
A better approach angle means you can conquer obstacles more easily, without damaging your factory front bumper.
RTR Modern Aggressive Styling and Tactical Performance
With a unique functional design, you will find the RTR Skid Plate is unlike anything else on the market. The RTR Skid Plate attaches directly to the frame using the beefy factory tow hook bolts in the front and to the cross member at the rear.
High-Quality Construction
RTR manufactures its Skid Plate from a durable 10 gauge steel plate, formed and welded into shape before receiving a two-stage powder coat that matches the OEM silver, and finished off with a protective matte clear topcoat.
Simple, Straight Forward Installation
Designed using OE CAD data, the RTR Skid Plate installs with the stock hardware and mounting points. There is no cutting or modification required for a clean, straight forward installation. Please note that the removal of the factory air dam and valance will be required for installation.
Application
RTR Skid Plate is designed to fit all 2018-2022 F-150s. It does not fit Raptor.
Made in the USA
The F-150 RTR Skid Plate is proudly designed and manufactured in America.

Easy install and quality product.
This looks great! The directions were a pain though. The directions sent, did not align with the 2022 whatsoever. I did not have to remove the bumper and instead manually removed the active air dam and associated parts from the front bumper. Once it was all removed, the skid plate slid right into place. Way more aggressive look on the Black Widow! Thank you!
Over all, I am Extremely happy with the quality of the skid plate. My only grip or complaint is that because it fits multiple generation of the f150, on my 2021, the ends don’t line up. Not a big deal but for what you pay, just want everything to line up. Fits nice and tight everywhere else though. During the install, I kept the bottom lip of the front bumper to keep The black trimming. But you will have to make cuts to allow it to fit properly. I have do doubts that this will do the job of protecting the front. Hopefully some comes for the mid and gas tank.
1. Removed active air dam and motors. 2. Cut permanent air dam right at the turn with tool of choice, I used a 4” grinder. 3. Loosen tow hook bolts all the way until you can spin them with your hand. 4. Remove 2 Ford skid plate bolts. 5. Remove rubber gasket around tow hooks. 6. Install and tight up bolts on RTR Skid Plate. I saw on another thread that a person was claiming the skid plate had a 1” gap, that is because if you don’t loosen the tow hook bolts all the way the skid plate doesn’t slide in far enough. If done right it follows the bumper perfectly. I trimmed the permanent air dam rather than remove it so it still has a small piece of plastic like the Tremor.
Great skid plate! Install was easy and straightforward with provided instructions. I didn’t remove the lower bumper portion. I removed the electric lowering air dam (3 bolts each side) and cut the plastic hanging portion with an oscillating sawzall attachment. I did have to remove the nuts holding the silver RTR back plate because it was hitting the lower factory bumper.
