Spec 3 Build

Every Mustang RTR Spec 3 is built from a Mustang GT equipped with the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine. We’ve taken performance to the next level by adding a 3.0L Whipple Supercharger System that produces 750 HP / 615 FT-LB TQ. Each Spec 3 includes a 3 year / 36,000 mile powertrain warranty (United States only) and can be installed on Mustangs equipped with a manual or automatic transmission. 

When designing the 2022 Mustang RTR Spec 3 it was important that each part on the vehicle would have a specific purpose. The iconic RTR Upper Grille with LED Lighting is found on each Mustang Spec model including the Spec 3. The RTR Grille badge is reserved for only Mustangs assembled in our Built by RTR program or an authorized RTR upfitter. RTR styling is carried through to the RTR Lower Grille which also allows more airflow to the superchargers intercooler.

Another notable exterior component is the RTR Graphics Package. The RTR Graphics Package includes Satin Black hood graphics and side graphics. The side graphics follow the body lines of the Mustang and flow from the front fender all the way to the rear spoiler.

To complete the RTR signature styling, the Spec 3 comes standard with a set of Matte Charcoal 20-inch RTR Tech 7’s wrapped with Nitto NT555 G2’s (275/35R20). The 20-inch RTR Aero 7 (Matte Charcoal) wheels are available as an optional upgrade for those who want to stand apart from the crowd.

Every Spec 3 includes RTR Tactical Performance Lowering Springs, Adjustable Front and Rear Sway Bars, and Adjustable Shocks and Struts. Whether you enjoy spirited cruises in the mountains or hitting the track every weekend, our RTR Tactical Suspension components allow you to customize the suspension that best suits your driving style.

Though with simple adjustments multiple setting combinations can be achieved, such as understeer, oversteer, or the fine-tuning of the dampers. Each Mustang RTR Spec 3 is set up by the dealer with the custom suspension set-up that has been perfected through countless hours of testing and validation both on the street and at the track.

For those who want more control of their suspension setup, the RTR Tactical Performance Coilovers are available as an optional upgrade. They feature 30-clicks of simultaneous compression/rebound adjustability, independent height adjustment, front camber adjustment and utilizes the OEM top plate and bearing for a hassle free installation.

Our goal with the Spec 3 package is to add a touch of the RTR style that accents the comfort and style already in place by Ford.

The Spec 3 package includes the black RTR Floor Mats featuring an embroidered RTR logo in the center of the floor mats. The RTR Floor Mats not only protect your car’s interior but add a touch of customization.

In addition to the Floor Mats, the factory Ford shift knob is replaced with a Black 6 Speed Shift Knob with our RTR logo engraving. RTR takes a clean and simple approach vehicle personalization.

To complete the sleek, personalized style of the Mustang RTR each Spec 3 receives a serialized dash plaque that is personally autographed by Vaughn Gittin, Jr.
