DETROIT, Mich., January 13, 2026 – Ford and RTR Vehicles expand their collaboration with the new Bronco RTR. Developed and tested in the challenging off-road terrain of Johnson Valley, Calif., Bronco RTR combines RTR’s fun-haver style with Bronco’s proven 4x4 capability to deliver high-speed, competition-inspired performance without the custom-build price tag.
Bronco RTR expands the performance-oriented choices that started with the new Ford Mustang RTR, taking inspiration from Ford and RTR’s relationship in Formula Drift and Ultra4 off-road racing to provide a new generation of customers with performance-and value-oriented choice in the iconic Bronco and Mustang lineups.

“Whether it’s dirt, rock or mud, we give Bronco customers the choices they need to enjoy the wild,” said Ed Krenz, Bronco chief program engineer. “Bronco RTR fills a new space in the lineup, offering two levels of capability so it’s ready from the factory for thrill-seeking customers.”
Bronco RTR comes standard with 33-inch rugged-terrain tires and a new, standard high-clearance suspension, marking the first time Bronco has offered such a combination. This setup delivers improved standard capability and increased driver confidence, while providing a more aggressive stance to match.

“To raise the bar for Bronco customers and meet Bronco’s ‘Built Wild’ durability standards, we developed Bronco RTR with Vaughn Gittin Jr., Loren Healy and their team in Baja Mexico and Johnson Valley,” said Krenz.
To unlock the ultimate Bronco RTR high-speed off-road experience, the available Sasquatch package adds 35-inch Goodyear rugged-terrain tires and — for the first time on this model — the HOSS 3.0 system with Fox internal bypass shocks, similar to those from the first-generation F-150 Raptor. Formerly exclusive to the Badlands series, HOSS 3.0 offers the highest level of suspension performance available without stepping up to the Bronco Raptor.

“Bronco RTR is built to dominate the dirt, whether you’re in Johnson Valley or on a backwoods trail,” said Vaughn Gittin Jr., founder of RTR Vehicles. “We gave it the suspension tech to handle the hits, but we also sweat the details that matter to drivers. We reinforced the steering, added anti-lag turbo tech and share high-power cooling fan hardware from the Bronco Raptor to help keep Bronco RTR cool during extended trail time and playing in sand.”

Bronco RTR adds software-operated, race-derived anti-lag turbo technology. It performs a similar function — maintaining turbo boost while the driver is off throttle — but is optimized for off-road, keeping the turbocharger spooled so drivers have a sharp throttle response to manage ever-changing terrain, like deep sand. To help keep the engine performing under grueling conditions, Bronco RTR features the race-proven 1,000-watt cooling fan from Bronco Raptor.

In addition to the RTR grille with new signature lighting, Hyper Lime features heavily, including on the graphics and rock rings of the 17-inch beadlock-capable RTR Evo 6 wheels. The bright color pops in any off-road terrain and pairs naturally with Avalanche Gray paint, a new shade for 2026 that is shared with Mustang RTR.

“Bronco RTR is a new sweet spot for performance value and style in the lineup,” said Haley Skiko, Bronco brand manager. “We’re delivering Raptor-inspired high-speed capability with a lower starting price than Badlands Sasquatch.”
Making its debut at the 2026 Detroit Auto Show, Bronco RTR will appear in February at King of the Hammers in Johnson Valley and at other events throughout the year. Bronco RTR will be available to order in October with sales starting in January 2027. Visit Ford.com to find out more.
