Drift superstar Vaughn Gittin Jr. stopped by the Ford booth at the 2018 Woodward Dream Cruise to officially hand over keys to the 700-horsepower Eagle Squadron Mustang GT to its new owner Brayton Williams. Williams’ bid of $420,000 was the highest last month at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s The Gathering fund-raiser and auction in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. 2018 marks the 20th year Ford has supported the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture fly-in and the 10th one-off Mustang the company has provided for auction. Ford has unveiled the Eagle Squadron Mustang GT at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Designed to pay tribute to the Eagle Squadron and the Royal Air Force’s 100th anniversary, the one-off model was jointly developed with professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. His involvement in the project is clearly visible as the car has been equipped with an RTR carbon fiber widebody kit.
