Nestled in the heart of Gastonia, NC, Tindol Ford has been around for the past 50 years. Tindol Ford is one of our more recent dealers but they have quickly risen to the top as our top Authorized RTR Dealer in vehicle sales. Lyle Sturgis reached out to us to see if we could host some of the Mustang RTR owners that he has sold vehicles to for a visit to the RTR Lab. This led to a unique and unforgettable experience for a select group of Mustang RTR Spec 2 owners at the RTR Lab in Concord, NC.

The visit was more than just a tour; it was a pilgrimage to the birthplace of their Mustang RTR Spec 2. The RTR Lab, known for being the nerve center of RTR Vehicles, opened its doors to several proud Mustang RTR Spec 2 owners. The purpose? To provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at where the magic happens and to spend quality time with Vaughn Gittin Jr.

The day was marked by personal interactions with Vaughn Gittin Jr. himself, who not only shared his time generously but also his stories. Each owner took a photograph with Vaughn, standing proudly beside their Mustang RTR Spec 2, capturing a moment they would treasure forever. Vaughn's passion was infectious as he engaged in conversations, signed their Mustangs and memorabilia, and gave a detailed tour of the RTR Lab.

The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the tour led by Vaughn Gittin Jr. Through his eyes, the group discovered the rich history of RTR Vehicles and Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s achievements. They were treated to anecdotes about iconic vehicles housed within the Lab, such as the RTR-X, RTR-C, Vaughn's 2010 championship-winning Mustang, the prototype Mustang RTR, and the very first serialized Mustang RTR.

This intimate gathering wasn't just about admiring the vehicles we’ve built; it was about connecting with the spirit of what RTR is really about. Vaughn's storytelling brought to life the legacy and the relentless pursuit of redefining your definition of performance that RTR embodies. The owners left with not just autographs and photographs but a deeper appreciation for their RTR Spec 2 Mustangs, knowing the passion and history that fueled their creation. For Tindol Ford, it was another chapter in their storied history, reinforcing their commitment to not just selling cars, but creating experiences and fostering a community of enthusiasts who share a common passion.
