RTR Vehicles® lit up Utah with Young Ford as James Deane and Ben Hobson turned a dealership lot into a drift arena, while the team fueled dealer training and fan connections. As the RTR® Drift Team rolled into Utah for Round 7 of Formula Drift, we had the opportunity to make a special stop at Young Ford — one of our valued RTR Authorized Dealers with three locations in the Salt Lake City area. On August 26th, 2025, we hosted our first-ever activation with their team, blending training, drifting, and community into one unforgettable day.

Dealer Development at Young Ford

Young Ford has been an RTR Authorized Dealer for about a year, and we couldn’t think of a better time to connect with their staff and leadership in person. The day kicked off with a dedicated dealer development session designed to bring the team deeper into the RTR ecosystem. From walking through our full range of products to sharing the story and mindset behind RTR, the session built both knowledge and excitement.

More than just technical training, the goal was to create a sense of energy around what it means to represent RTR at the dealership level. The Young Ford staff engaged with enthusiasm, asking questions, diving into details, and walking away with the tools and confidence to bring the RTR experience to their customers.

Drift Demonstration & Ride Alongs

Once the dealer development session wrapped up, it was time to take things outside and turn up the energy. James Deane and Ben Hobson headlined the afternoon with a drift demonstration right in the dealership’s parking lot, transforming the space into a temporary motorsports arena.

James drove a brand-new Urban Bamboozle Mustang RTR Spec 3 and his Formula Drift competition car, the Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD. Ben fired up his Mustang RTR Spec 5-D, giving fans a taste of the same machine he uses for demos and drift exhibitions across the country.

The sound of V8s roaring, tires shredding, and smoke filling the air created an atmosphere you could feel in your chest. We were able to give around 50 lucky fans, customers, and staff members the chance to strap in for ride-alongs. An experience none of them will soon forget.

Vibes Were at an All-Time High

What made the event truly special was the mix of people who came together. It wasn’t just Young Ford’s sales staff in attendance. Local fans, RTR vehicle owners, and families filled the lot, all there to be part of the RTR experience.

The vibe was high-energy and family-friendly, with plenty of opportunities for fans to interact with the drivers. After the smoke settled, James and Ben signed autographs, posed for photos, and spent time connecting one-on-one with enthusiasts. It’s moments like these that show how drifting can bring people together and build lifelong connections to the culture and the brand.

A Strong Partnership with Young Ford

Our time at Young Ford was the perfect example of what happens when you combine motorsports, education, and community. Hosting this activation with Young Ford was an important milestone in our partnership. The dealership did an outstanding job promoting the event ahead of time, and their commitment to creating excitement around RTR was clear throughout the day. From the drift demos to the dealer development session, the day captured the spirit of what RTR stands for. Pushing limits, sharing knowledge, making lasting memories, and putting smiles on faces.

We’re proud to partner with dealers like Young Ford, who share our passion and look forward to more opportunities to bring the RTR experience directly to communities across the country.
