Purpose-built by RTR Vehicles for Hert, the 910-horsepower Mustang RTR Spec 5-D combines proven RTR performance and style with unmistakable Nappy Boy Automotive flavor.
LAGUNA SECA, CA. — September 18, 2026 — RTR Vehicles has unveiled the “Twerk Horse”, a 910-horsepower, purpose-built Mustang RTR drift car commissioned by T-Pain and Nappy Boy Automotive as a gift for his longtime friend and Nappy Boy Automotive co-founder, Hert.

Built to be driven hard, Twerk Horse follows the same purpose-built philosophy behind the Mustang drift cars driven by Vaughn Gittin Jr., James Deane, Ben Hobson and T-Pain. From its wild livery to its one-off polished forged wheels, this Mustang RTR was created to look and feel as if Hert built it himself.
The Twerk Horse will make its public debut at GRIDLIFE Laguna Festival at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on Friday, September 18, where Hert will also put the new build to work on track.
Nearly 20 Years in the Making
For RTR Vehicles President and Founder Vaughn Gittin Jr., the story behind the Twerk Horse goes back far beyond the build itself.
Vaughn has known Hert for nearly 20 years, dating back to the early days of drifting. Over the years, he has watched Hert develop his unmistakable driving style, build a career around his passion for car culture and earn a reputation for pushing just about everything he drives to its limit.

The idea for Twerk Horse began during a conversation between Vaughn and T-Pain. Exactly 1 year after RTR completed T-Pain’s one-off Mustang RTR Spec 5-D Convertible drift car, the conversation turned to Hert and his need for a car that wouldn't keep breaking down on him. For that, a true workhorse was needed.
Putting both Nappy Boy Automotive co-founders behind the wheel of purpose-built RTR Mustang drift cars made sense beyond simply building another wild car. Similar platforms allow the team to share knowledge, parts and spares while giving both drivers proven equipment designed specifically to take the abuse of drifting and, in this case, the extra abuse when Hert is behind the wheel!
“Hert and I go back almost 20 years, and I’ve watched him build his style and drive everything he gets behind the wheel at 110 percent,” said Vaughn Gittin Jr., President and Founder of RTR Vehicles. “When T-Pain and I started talking about getting Hert into an RTR, it just made sense. Putting them in similar purpose-built cars gives the team a platform they can support together, but more importantly, it gives Hert a car engineered to handle the way he drives.

“T-Pain wanted to do something special for his friend, and our goal was to make sure the car looked and felt like Hert the second he saw it. It’s been so much fun conspiring and collaborating with T-Pain on this very special project. The entire RTR team poured a ton of passion into this build, and they absolutely crushed it.
“To top it all off, Hert unfortunately lost his beloved TwerkStallion in an accident just a few weeks ago. The timing of him receiving this machine makes the moment even more meaningful and will be life-changing on another level. It’s really an honor to be a part of it on all fronts.”
For T-Pain, the Twerk Horse is about much more than adding another Mustang to the Nappy Boy Automotive stable. It’s a chance to recognize what Hert has meant to him, the brand they’ve built together and the automotive community surrounding them.

“Hert is my brother. Nappy Boy Automotive was never about us just collecting cool cars or putting our names on shit, said T-Pain, CEO & Co-Founder of Nappy Boy Automotive. We do this because we genuinely love cars. We love drifting. We love the community that comes with it. Hert has put so much of himself into this culture and into building Nappy Boy Automotive with me.
“Being able to give him something like this means way more to me than just handing him the keys to a 910-horsepower Mustang RTR. This is what Nappy Boy Automotive is supposed to be: doing dope shit with people you love for the love of it and hopefully giving the community something to be excited about along the way.
“And if anybody needs one of RTR’s purpose-built masterpieces to survive the way they drive, it’s definitely Hert.”
Purpose-Built for Hert
At the heart of Twerk Horse is a Ford Racing Gen 4 Coyote Aluminator paired with a Whipple 3.0L supercharger, producing 910 horsepower.

Power is sent through an Advanced Clutch Technology clutch, Holley Performance Quick Time bellhousing and G-Force dogbox transmission before reaching a Winters quick-change differential. A Driveshaft Shop carbon-fiber driveshaft connects the system, while a Radium Engineering fuel system, NGK spark plugs and Ford Racing Gen 4 Controls Pack help support the powertrain.

The chassis is set up specifically for drifting with custom BC Racing ER-Type coilovers and RTR billet suspension arms, while Falken Azenis tires provide the contact patch needed to turn horsepower into smoky grip.

Haltech display and power distribution modules handle critical driver information and electronics, with additional support from an OPTIMA YellowTop battery, TYPE S LED lighting, BORLA exhaust and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 10W-60 Synthetic Oil.

This isn’t a street Mustang dressed up like a drift car. Twerk Horse was built with one job in mind: let Hert drive it the way Hert drives.
Built Like an RTR. Styled Like Hert.
While the foundation is unmistakably RTR, Twerk Horse's visual direction was never meant to simply copy another car in the RTR fleet.
The entire exterior was intentionally designed around Hert’s personality.

Its loud color palette and aggressive livery immediately set Twerk Horse apart from the rest of the RTR and drift stable, while extensive carbon fiber gives the car the function and presence expected of an RTR-built Mustang.
The exterior features RTR Spec 5-D carbon-fiber widebody panels and wake towers along with an RTR Upper Grille with LED Air Intakes, Lower Grille, Chin Splitter, Rear Decklid Spoiler, Rocker Splitters, Hood Vent and Corner Grilles.

The details don’t stop with the livery. Twerk Horse sits on custom polished RTR T-5R 2-piece forged wheels. A first for an RTR drift build. Paired with the bold livery and exposed carbon fiber, the polished finish completes the look and gives Hert’s Mustang an unmistakable presence.

Inside, Kinetic seats, an MPI steering wheel and RTR by Schroth Racing harnesses complete a cockpit designed around the driver.
The Next Chapter of RTR × Nappy Boy Automotive
Twerk Horse continues a relationship between RTR Vehicles and Nappy Boy Automotive that has grown well beyond a single vehicle.
RTR’s work with T-Pain has evolved from unique street builds into full-purpose drift machines, including his one-off Mustang RTR Spec 5-D Convertible. Along the way, a shared passion for drifting, creativity and car culture has brought the RTR and Nappy Boy Automotive teams increasingly closer together.

Twerk Horse represents the next evolution of that relationship.
This time, the car isn’t for T-Pain.
It’s a gift for the friend beside him.
And after nearly 20 years of Vaughn watching Hert send everything he can get his hands on, he finally has an RTR Mustang built specifically to take it.
